Ideas on Saving the Soundscape: I don't know how to save the soundscape. I know the most important thing is helping build awareness that it is threatened, that it is something we need to protect and preserve. The best way I can think of to build that awareness it record it as much as possible, save those recordings, and show their changes over time to those who are not aware. Show how hard it is to record because of the intrusion of human-created sound. Point out where the soundscape cannot be demonstrated because we have altered it permanently.

Your interest in Natural Sound?: I am a sound designer by trade. I became interested in nature recording while conducting my own natural field recordings for work. The challenge to get the best natural sound recordings I could became an hobby obsession and opened my eyes to how we, humanity, have broken the soundscape.
