Ideas on Saving the Soundscape: I think we have to continue educating people, starting with children and including all ages of adults, about the necessity and reasons to save natural soundscapes and preserve natural spaces in our world. This could involve in-school, adult ed., college, online and in-person community programs. We need to continue reaching out to other organizations involved with preserving natural parks, wildlife, etc., perhaps partnering with some of them on campaigns or projects, including using social networking and community building. I will continue to think of more ideas that we can discuss.

Your interest in Natural Sound?: I have been fortunate to accompany Bernie and Kat on a sound recording project as a journalist, and my husband (Richard Links) and I often do soundscape recording projects of our own when we travel (in both urban and rural environments, including overseas). Richard has a recording business, Links Sound, and he and I record live concerts as well. I also have a background in audio production and post-production (credentials given upon request).
