Ideas on Saving the Soundscape
It matters, to save a 'soundscape' means saving habitat. All species have intrinsic value separate from the so called values placed on them by humans. Preservation of habitats and species is key to ensure the earths biodiversity continues to evolve as it has in the past.
Your interest in Natural Sound?
Landscape Painter and Nature Sound Recordist. Own and operate my website, www.wildearthvoices.org. Have recorded on location in many wilderness areas of the Boreal Forest in Eastern Canada. A special interest in the Acadian Forest of the Maritimes of Canada and its preservation. Forest activist for many years.

Welcome, Mark!  Your site is terrific and your new Vimeo group is yet another good way to help share and promote the world of soundscapes.  Mentoring and encouraging young people to use their great digital skills on behalf of the natural world is an important part of helping fto keep vital soundscapes (and habitats) vital.  The more awareness raised about the nature of tranquil places free from human induced noise, the better!  Feel free to start a dialogue, connect with others, and post your work.  The Soundscape Support Team has been a bit 'quiet' themselves lately; perhaps with the onset of spring things will get more lively!  Best of luck with your efforts.  KK
