The soundscape world is beginning to galvanize with information, issues, process, and awareness. Bernie's original 'Niche Hypothesis' formed an arena of inquiry that applies to multi-disciplinary exploration and detailed focus. Now there are as many ways in which to approach this field as there are to approach the out of doors, but - like in the natural wild - one needs a certain amount of discernment, knowledge, courage, and care in order to more fully appreciate and understand the body of work ahead and the collective community direction in order to avoid a diluting abstraction of focus. Let's discuss further.
Welcome, Richard! This is a quiet little network, and for the past year not much has been posted as we have been immensely busy launching plans for the Great Animal Orchestra book and upcoming symphony. But remember, this is primarily a network, so the content can be posted and added to by any member of the team. So, please feel free to contribute your comments, post current work, introduce your self to others, and feel at home. As this upcoming year unfolds, we have new plans to help further the mutual support our team can provide to one and another. This is not a tech-centric or gear based network, but one where some of the intrinsic, isolating factors of soundscape work can be lightened, in community support and exchange of ideas.
